As a globally and locally inclined initiative, An Interdisciplinarian’s Perspective networks and partners with a wide range of organizations and individuals around the globe. One such network is Ecofinder Kenya, which has been nominated – through its Smokeless Homes Initiative – as one of the 20 semi-finalists out of 430 applicants from 65 countries in Project Inspire Global Entrepreneurial Competition under the theme ‘Technology or Design for Economic Empowerment’ and organized by Singapore Committee for UN Women and MasterCard.

Ecofinder Kenya’s entrepreneurial Smokeless Homes Initiative project works with women in remote and poor villages in Kenya to eliminate polluting sources of energy by promoting the adoption of clean, affordable and safe off-grid energy sources through mobile technology rent-to-own or pay-as-you-go scheme.
